Are “copyright” and ” authors’ rights” the same thing? What are the legal and tax obligations of authors? I have been offered a publishing contract, what should I pay attention to? Do works need to be registered to obtain valid legal protection? What are creative commons licenses for? Should one be concerned about the rise of artificial intelligence?

The “A Thousand and One Questions (On Copyright)” course is the first event built around real, frequently asked questions about copyright law. The course gives an opportunity to learn about the legal rules that govern the world of creativity (applied to the marketplace). Practical guidance – useful to both authors and companies – for copyright protection and management will be provided.

By registering for the event, it is possible to ask one or more questions: after anonymizing them, during the course-event, professionals from the Canella Camaiora Law Firm will answer the most frequent and relevant questions (the staff will provide an interactive form to facilitate the collection of questions).

The live Webinar will be held in Italian.

TOPICS:

  1. What are the legal aspects of the relationship between author and client?
  2. How is the price of the assignment calculated (lump sum, royalties and taxation)?
  3. How to act in case of plagiarism or breach of contract?
  4. What are the risks for companies and social media managers in the exploitation of works?
  5. Artificial intelligence: risk or opportunity?
