Are “copyright” and ” authors’ rights” the same thing? What are the legal and tax obligations of authors? I have been offered a publishing contract, what should I pay attention to? Do works need to be registered to obtain valid legal protection? What are creative commons licenses for? Should one be concerned about the rise of artificial intelligence?
The “A Thousand and One Questions (On Copyright)” course is the first event built around real, frequently asked questions about copyright law. The course gives an opportunity to learn about the legal rules that govern the world of creativity (applied to the marketplace). Practical guidance – useful to both authors and companies – for copyright protection and management will be provided.
By registering for the event, it is possible to ask one or more questions: after anonymizing them, during the course-event, professionals from the Canella Camaiora Law Firm will answer the most frequent and relevant questions (the staff will provide an interactive form to facilitate the collection of questions).
The live Webinar will be held in Italian.
“A Thousand and One Questions (On Copyright) in the Artificial Intelligence Era” will be held as a Live Webinar on May 18 at 6 p.m. The course is free but seats are limited: reservations must be made.
The event will be held in Zoom meeting mode. We will provide you with instructions on how to participate with the registration confirmation. You are advised to log on to the event at least 15 minutes before the start to access the Zoom meeting with ease.
The live Webinar will be held in Italian.
The Webinar is taught by professionals from the Canella Camaiora Law Firm: according to a survey by Statista, in collaboration with IlSole24Ore, the firm has been confirmed for three years in a row – 2020, 2021, 2022 – as one of the best Italian law firms for the area of intellectual property.

The event is organized by Proofy® la registrazione per chi crea, in collaboration with the Association of Authors of Images (AI) and experienced communication and intellectual property lawyers from the Canella Camaiora Law Firm. The Canella Camaiora Law Firm was one of the best in Italy in the year 2020 for the Intellectual Property practice area according to a recent survey conducted by Il Sole 24 ore-Statista.
The Authors of Images Association (AI) (formerly the Illustrators Association) is a nonprofit organization led by professional artists in illustration, comics and animation. A.I. has been working alongside Italian authors for forty years to enhance the potential of the drawn image through publications, training, exhibitions and events.
Given the divulgative nature of the event, it does not entitle to receive credits to be used as proof of lawyers’ continuous professional education. Please note that the educational course is free of charge and that the request for the issue of a certificate of attendance is totally discretionary and optional. If you are currently living outside Italy and you would like to request a certificate of attendance, please contact us here.
Please also note that the certificate of participation is proof of participation in the Webinar for which it was issued, however, it does not constitute a legal title valid for the purposes of public tenders and/or for university credits.
Only in the event that the participant explicitly requests a certificate of attendance, will the organisation request a minimal financial contribution, due to the administrative management of the file (verification of actual participation, creation and transmission of the certificate).
The cost of the certificate in digital format is € 14.99 incl. VAT*. The paper version of the certificate, in colour and bearing the original signatures of the speakers and organisers, costs € 27.99 incl. VAT*. After booking, in order to request and obtain the certificate of participation, you must carefully follow the instructions that will be sent to you by e-mail from the organisers.
*VAT 22% is applied only to EU citizens and Italian companies.
